Tiger Woods Injured In Car Accident

On Friday November 27, 2009 at approximately 2:25 AM golf legend Tiger Woods was injured in a car accident outside his Florida home after losing control of his vehicle and striking a fire hydrant and tree in his neighbors yard.

Florida Highway Patrol stated that Tiger’s wife, Elin Nordegren Woods, used a golf club to break the back window of his Escalade to get him out. Upon the arrival of police they found Tiger laying on the ground going in and out of consciousness with Elin standing over him. Officers stated Elin was frantic and upset.

Elin stated to  police that she was inside her home when she heard a loud crash outside and went outside to see what happened, then broke the window of the Escalade.

Police stated Tiger had lacerations to his upper and lower lip, a bloody mouth and was treated by police officers until the ambulance arrived. Tiger was in and out of conscious and was mumbling his words Police Chief Saylor said.

Florida Highway Patrol don’t believe alcohol was involved although they will be conducting a thorough investigation.

Puzzling is that this accident occurred at 2:25 am. What was Tiger doing leaving his residence that early? I’m sure it wasn’t to wait in line for Black Friday specials Walmart, he could have just bought the store if he wanted to. It’s also interesting that it comes just two days after the tabloid The National Inquirer published a story about Tiger Woods having been seen with a NY night club hostess in Melbourne together where Woods competed in the Australian Masters. The other woman declines any extra-marital affairs or indiscretions with Tiger.

Police spokeswoman Sgt. Kim Montes said that the accident is being investigated as a routine traffic crash and not a domestic issue. Police also said that the 911 tapes of the incident won’t be available until they have been reviewed, Monday the earliest.

Montes said police did not release the report of the accident until 12 hours had past because it did not meet the criteria of a serious motor vehicle accident.

Still questions remain as to what exactly happened that morning. More to follow.
